The IAPFC is pleased to welcome Diane Schoeder.

Diane Schroeder, MA, EFO, spent 24 years in the fire service, rising to the rank of Battalion Chief. In 2023, she retired to concentrate on assisting fire service professionals in enhancing their leadership abilities by teaching about self-care, and vulnerability, and mastering the emotional skills necessary to thrive personally and professionally.

Diane speaks nationally, hosts a weekly podcast, and is a self-care coach.

This day-long professional development course is meticulously crafted for fire officers who aspire to elevate their leadership skills by integrating crucial elements of ethics, belonging, and selfcare. This course is designed to empower fire officers with the knowledge and tools necessary to foster a positive organizational culture, enhance team dynamics, and ensure the well-being of
both themselves and their crews.

The topics discussed will provide participants with valuable information through humor, relevant stories, peer to-peer learning, data, and a safe space to explore the skills of emotional intelligence, communication, boundary setting, time management, conflict resolution, authenticity, and vulnerability.
